A Bunny In My Easter Basket

Sometimes it's difficult for me to find exactly what I am looking for when I am on the hunt for a special litem.  I went to most of my favorite stores for my treasure hunt and even managed to take a break for some Starbucks coffee and a tasty treat! Afterall, shopping is such hard work and a girl needs a break to catch her breath! I'm not a spring chick anymore! It was a pleasant break enoying the warmth from the sunshine that peerd through the window as I was relaxing drinking hot coffee on a cool winter day. I got the pick me up that I needed and set out once again for the hunt!  I was very excited as I approached that what I was thinking that I found what I was looking for.  I picked the bunny rabbit up off the shelf and took a closer look and seemed to like everything about him.  I certainly was pleased with his height, his eyes were very charming, and he definitely had good manners. Yes, everything about him seemed to fit my expectations, and goodness knows he was probably just as ready as I was to leave the store and find out what would be next on the bunny trail.

He is just perfect for this nice Easter floral arrangement! He is definitely the right size; just right for what I wanted him for!  He is holding a carrot in his hand for a tasty treat when he goes to the Easter Egg Hunt.  Speaking of Easter eggs, do you see all of the colorful Easter eggs in the basket?  There are sparkly colors of blue, pink, and yellow that is such a nice compliment to the daisies and calla lillies.  I hope that you enjoyed my cute little find and how I placed him in a field of flowers and Easter Eggs for us all to enjoy!

DECORATING A FIREPLACE MANTEL FOR CHRISTMAS

I love to decorate a mantel for the beautiful Christmas season!  As I was going through my Christmas decorations it became obvious to me that I have my favorites!  I love snowmen, deer, elves, Christmas trees, glitzy Christmas ornaments, pine garland, and iced red berries! I made a nice lantern floral centerpiece for the center of the mantel that consists of Christmas presents, ornaments, and candy canes, surrounded with pine greenery. I didn't use elves this year, because I haven't started a collection... YET!!!.  I don't have a one! I'm going to take care of that little situation and get me some to love, so hopefully I will decorate with a few elves next year!  As you can tell, I put a lot of love in my decorating! I'm not a professional by no means, but I do enjoy decorating for Christmas with love, family, and hot cider!!!

CHRISTMAS NATIVITY SCENE

I display this every year during Christmas!  It may not be the most practical place to display a nativity scene, but it works at our house!  The nativity scene is large and I need a large area to display it, so I use our buffet in our formal dinning room. I used red and gold deco mesh and red gilded Christmas trees for color.

GLITZY RED MESH CHRISTMAS WREATH

I want to share with you why making this wreath was so special to me!
I have always loved this particular pattern of deco mesh!.  It was one
of the first patterns in the history of deco mesh.  I have a lot of supplies
and one day I was rummaging around going through my seasonal items
when I stumbled upon a long lost love! I couldn't wait to get started when
I found this roll.  Once I selected the ribbon all of the other embellishments
was easy to choose!

If you are one of those that remembers this mesh and you happened to be
fond of it then you can appreciate this story.  Sometimes it doesn't take
much for something to make my day!

THE BEGINNING OF CHRISTMAS!!!

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA

I always enjoy when the poinsettias are displayed around town and in the churches during the Christmas season!!!  This one is surrounded with glistening Christmas ball ornaments, berries, fern and a touch of evergreen to bring the look of outdoors to the wreath.
Ahh...the beauty of Christmas!!!
